Sunday Bacon Ride
Ivan Basso Likes bacon, the reason he smiles has nothing to do with enjoying biking. It's his love of pork belly that has him going tough. yes it's true. Do you want to be like him or do you want to be like him and eat some bacon. Now is your chance. Sunday will be the first bacon ride. Meet at wohlners around 6ish am. Leave 6:30 am. Here's the route . Anyone is welcomed the weather looks perfect we should be back noonish.

I'm in as long as there are non-meat options. Yes, that's right, I don't eat bacon. I have a conscience.
From the one time I went last year I know that they had other things like fruit and bread. Do you eat eggs?
Do eggs have faces? That's the rule.
Fruit and bread? They better have more than that. I would assume they have something I can pour syrup on.
I guess it would depend on at what point you intend on eating the eggs if they have faces or not... ;-) But seriously they have other stuff I think like french toast?
You put syrup on those right?
The French may not put syrup on their toast, but I put syrup on french toast.
I don't eat meat, and I'm going and I've gone. Pancakes, biscuits, fruit, rolls, potatoes...
....nuff said.
See you guys at the Pflug entrance to the trail in Springfield.
i can try to make it there this week as long as it is a no drop ride
I'm in.
I've done the Bacon Ride several times, and I'm pure vegan (well, I eat some honey, and after 35 miles, I don't question what's in the pancakes).
The Douglas: You'll have plenty to eat.
Ananth: No drop. Meet me at Gifford Park at 5:30 am. You'll need two water bottles, with something sugary in one of them, and maybe some energy bars if the bacon and pancakes aren't enough for the ride back.
I'm a fat, old guy, and if I can do it, anyone can. Bring whatever you need for breakdowns. Know your bike.
FYI folks, we're rolling out at 6:30 and Wohlners doesn't open until 8am, so if you come at 6am...
Just sayin'
It's okay Mike, I'll eat your bacon.
