cycling caps

While spending some time at Black Hills I ran an idea of pedal-Omaha cycling cap by Mod and Lucas, they said hey sweet caps are always cool to have if they are cool looking and what not. Coincidentally half of snappy caps was sitting right there and was supportive of the idea. Snappy caps is local company (okay Lincoln local enough) operated by Skip and his wife. Lucas, defacto art/photo/graphic designer guy agreed to work up some logos for the design...
The question I have for you would you be interested in buying one of the caps if they were made. If so please leave comment...
Last bacon ride of the year is coming stay tuned.

If there is an option for wool and ear flaps, then I'm in. Assuming it's not "over-the-top expensive". Sub $30'ish would be ideal.

I'll buy one if it can absorb 10 times its weight in sweat.

Heck, I'll buy one, regardless.

I think the bike cap idea is a great! i'm in

As another means to spread the word about pedal-omaha, I suggest creating stickers that can be affixed to bike racks around Omaha. This would be an easy way for folks who ride bikes to learn about others who ride bikes within the community…any sticker interest out there?

I'd buy one. I'd already been contemplating a Snappy Cap.

As long as it will fit my franken-noggin, I'm down for a cool looking cap. Also, prefer not to look like a euro-snob. Mark me down as interested.

James: Nice idea about the stickers. Are you thinking this blogspot would be printed on them?

Careful... another one of my community interests is dealing with graffiti vandalism, including those mindless, "I'm gonna scribble my tag on a post office label and slap it up somewhere 'cos I'm cool" stickers. Anything promoting the local bike culture should be done with a degree of class and respectability and in no way resemble vandalism.

:)

I accually agree with scott
I would rather not stick anything on bike rack that I don't own rather just put it on your bike/helmet whateve

stickers would work well, but they could end up on places they shouldnt...that's the tough balance between spreading the word and defacing a public bike rack.

would posting postcard-sized fliers be a more effective way to spread the word? posting these at local bike shops or at organizations with community boards would be an easier way to spread the word.
