Good news.... Maybe

As I was getting a ride home today, I happened to look over at the keystone trail as I was crossing it in a couple of places in town.  In Sarpy county around 36th st it looks clear and good.  And around 72nd and Pacific it looks as if it has been plowed clear.  I know that NFM cleared the section that runs behind their warehouse.  But maybe all the voices have been heard?  Can anyone else confirm other parts of the trail?

Sean, oddly, the city plowed the trail but did not do the underpasses. My guess was the vehicle they used either didn't have the power to push through the 4 foot drifts or it didn't fit.

When rode to the bank from the store behind the furniture mart it's pretty pot marked with icey foot prints.

Unfortunatley or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint, I think we'll be battling it out on the streets this winter.

I figured that if it takes them this long to even make an attempt, it will get more snow every time they clear it until spring. But like I said at least our voices aren't being totally ignored.

When I rode home earlier this week, the trail had been cleared, including underpasses, from Center through Harrison and beyond.

With this fresh snow, I don't think it will stay clear for long. And unfortunately, I really don't think our voices were heard, they were finally just getting around to it.

The bike paths in Iowa are usually plowed much sooner, not much help for the commuters, but if your out for a ride it's OK.
